At Makers North Collective, our vision has always been to create a space where makers of all kinds could come together, share ideas, and support one another - hence the name!
Like any great project, it took time to figure out exactly how to bring that vision to life in the best way possible.
And now, after much thought and planning, we’re ready to welcome you to this exciting new chapter! We can’t wait for you to be a part of something special as we build a thriving, inclusive community in Northern Ontario.

The Collective is all about bringing makers and artists from Northern Ontario together to create a vibrant, supportive community right here in Northern Ontario. We provide a space for connection, collaboration, and shared learning with the goal of taking your handmade business to the next level.
With a focus on education, collaboration, and community, we’re dedicated to building a space where creativity can flourish and makers can find the tools and support they need to succeed.
Through workshops both online & in person, community building events and a stronger network of support, we believe the future of Northern Ontario makers is right here in THE COLLECTIVE!

As a member of The Collective, you’ll have the opportunity to apply to be a jury member for Makers North Collective’s handmade markets, giving you a behind-the-scenes look at the curating process.
This is a unique chance to shape the event, learn the ins and outs of market curation, and connect with fellow makers in a whole new way.

Due to the digital nature of this membership, we are unable to offer refunds. You are welcome to cancel your subscription at anytime.

Once you make your payment to join, you’ll immediately receive the link to access the membership site. Moving forward you’ll click on the MEMBER LOGIN button on the top right hand side of our website and then scroll down past the payment option (since you’ve already paid) and click LOGIN.

No, being a member of The Collective does not guarantee acceptance into our handmade markets. Makers North is not a "pay to play" style business—our markets will always be curated based on merit to ensure a high-quality, diverse shopping experience.
All applications go through a jury process. Since 2025 that jury has been comprised of fellow Collective members. This peer-reviewed approach helps maintain the integrity and excellence of our events while giving our maker community a voice in shaping the market lineup.
Makers North respectfully acknowledges that we are located in Robinson-Huron Treaty Territory and the land on which we gather is the traditional territory of the Atikameksheng Anishnaabeg. We are truly grateful that ourselves and our makers are able to create and share our work on this beautiful land.
